Ankle or Wrist Weights
Can be used for ankle or wrists - varying from 1 - 10 pounds.

Bath Seats - No Back
A molded plastic bath seat with no backrest. Available with and without handles.

Bath Seats - w/ Back
A molded plastic bath seat featuring a built in backrest. Available with and without handles.

Bath Transfer Bench
A bench-style seat that spans the tub’s edge, complete with a backrest and side handle.

Bed Cane
A handle with a base that slides between mattress and box spring.

Bedside Table
Height-adjustable over-the-bed table with wheels.

Booster Seat
We offer two styles of contoured booster seats designed for young children. *Household use only. Not for automobiles.

Canes
Adjustable-height walking canes—single-tip, tri-tip, or quad-base options available.

Commode - 3 in 1
Can be used bedside or over the toilet in 2 configurations.

Commode - Bariatric
A reinforced commode with a wider frame, engineered to accommodate higher weight capacities.

Couch Cane
Can be used under a sofa.

Crib - Folding
We offer two sizes of metal folding cribs: standard (27"x 50") and infant (23" x 36").

Crutches
Adjustable underarm crutches featuring padded tops and handgrips.

Gait Belt
A canvas belt with buckle to allow caregivers to guide a person.

Gate
An expandable safety gate with a mesh panel and locking mechanism, ideal for preventing access to stairs or rooms where supervision is required. Not for use with pets.

High-Chair
A foldable high-chair with harness and footrest.

I.V. Stand
A mobile I.V. pole stand with telescoping height adjustment and caster wheels.

Leg Lift
A reinforced nylon strap with a foot loop

Long-Handled Dressing Aid
A long-handled wooden tool with hooked ends, designed to help pull up zippers, pull on coats, shoes, and socks without bending over.

Hand Weights
A range of handweights are available, from 1 - 10 pounds.

Packable Playpen
A portable playard with mesh sides and foldable frame.

Pedal Exerciser
A pedal exerciser for legs or arms.

Reacher
A lightweight reach tool, allowing users to grasp items without bending or overreaching.

Rollaway Bed
A folding metal frame bed with a mattress. Adult and child sizes available.

Saucer
A circular baby saucer with padded edges and attached toys.

Shoehorn
A long handle shoe horn.

Sock Aid
A plastic sock-donning device with attached pull cords and foam handles, enabling users to put on socks independently without bending.

Step Stool
Step stool with a handrail.

Classic double-seat stroller with adjustable canopy, swivel front wheels, designed for infant and toddler transport.

Tabletop Face-Down Recovery Support
This tabletop recovery aid provides essential support for patients healing from retinal procedures. The cushioned frame allows for proper face-down positioning, improving comfort during prolonged use. Ideal for home recovery following Vitrectomy, Macular Hole, or Retinal Detachment surgery.

Toddler Potty Training Chair
A small plastic potty training chair with contoured seat and easy-clean inner bowl, designed to help toddlers transition from diapers to the toilet.

Toddler Potty Training Seat
A toddler toilet training seat that fits over a standard toilet to help young children feel secure and comfortable while learning to use the bathroom independently.

Toilet Arms
A stand-alone frame with arms.

Toilet Riser
A molded plastic seat riser that increases toilet height.

Transfer Board
A smooth board enabling transfer between a wheelchair and another surface. Available with and without handles.

Stroller - Umbrella
A lightweight umbrella stroller with compact folding design, minimal seat padding, and dual front swivel wheels for easy travel and storage.

Walker - 2-Wheel with Seat
A lightweight walker featuring two front wheels and a flip-up seat with storage.

Walker - 4-Wheel
A four-wheeled rollator with hand brakes and a built-in seating platform. Must have a written prescription issued by a medical professional licensed to practice in AZ.

Walker - Basket
A wire basket that attaches onto a walker’s frame, providing convenient storage for personal items during mobility.

Walker - Hemi
A one-sided hemi walker with a four-point tip base, for users who need partial support on one side.

Walker - Platform
Platform walker with padded armrests and adjustable height.

Walker - Two Wheels
We offer these in Standard, Junior & Tall sizes.

Walker – No Wheels
A rigid walker frame without wheels, featuring height-adjustable rubber-tipped legs.

Wedge Pillows
3 styles available to elevate head, legs or torso.

Wheel Chair - Standard
A manual wheelchair with large rear wheels and handrims for self-propulsion, complete with flip-up footrests.

Wheelchair - Elevated Leg Rest
Wheelchair equipped with padded leg rests that can be elevated with flip-up footrests.

Wheelchair - Transport / Companion
A lightweight companion wheelchair with small wheels and rear push handles, designed to be propelled by an attendant.

Wheelchair Cushion
A foam-filled wheelchair cushion with a cover.

Wheelchair Ramp
A portable ramp made of lightweight aluminum with non-slip surface to facilitate wheelchair access over doorway thresholds.

Wheelchair-Mounted Oxygen Tank Holder
Securely holds an Oxygen tank to wheelchair for easy transport.

The Helping Hands program provides short-term loans of medical and children's equipment at no cost to residents in our surrounding communities. Whether you're recovering from surgery, assisting a loved one, or welcoming visiting grandchildren, we’re here to support your independence, safety, and peace of mind.

Required Proof of Residency
- Sun City West: Recreation Center card
- Sun City Grand: CAM card
- Arizona Traditions or Sun Village: Community-issued badge
- Corte Bella: Driver’s license showing local address or Corte Bella badge
Loan Timeframes & Terms
How Long Can I Keep the Equipment?
- Medical & Mobility Equipment: Up to 90 days
- Children’s Equipment: Up to 30 days
Important Lending Policies
- First Come, First Served: Equipment is available in-person only. No reservations or advance holds are accepted.
- Waiver Required: All borrowers must sign a waiver accepting responsibility for the care, timely return, and any loss or damage.
- Short-Term Use Only: We are not a long-term supply source. All loans are temporary.

We Offer Loans For
- Wheelchairs, walkers (standard and rollators), and canes
- Commodes, shower chairs, and raised toilet seats
- Hospital beds, bed rails, and overbed tables
- Crutches, knee scooters, and transfer benches
- Children’s items: cribs, high chairs, strollers, playpens, booster seats, and ExerSaucers
Prescription Required for Some Items
- A current prescription from an Arizona-licensed medical professional is required to borrow a 4-wheel walker with a seat.
Donations & Funding
Helping Hands is 100% Donor-Funded
- We receive no funding from the Recreation Centers or PORA.
- We rely on donations (cash, check, or credit card) and the generous support of community contributions
- All donations help clean, maintain, and replace loaned equipment.
We Accept New & Used Equipment Donations
- We welcome new, unopened medical and children’s equipment, as well as gently used items in good condition.
- All donated equipment is carefully cleaned, sanitized, and inspected before being made available for purchase in our Helping Hands Resale area.
- When you donate or shop, you’re not just giving or getting equipment—you’re helping fund the Foundation’s essential programs for the Sun City West community.
