Your support keeps Helping Hands, Find Your Ride, and community partner space (like AARP Tax-Aide) strong.

Annual Fund Drive | It Is Not Too Late
Did You Receive Our Fund Drive Letter?
If you received our Annual Fund Drive letter in the mail, thank you for taking a moment to read it. This is the one time each year we send a Foundation-wide mailing to help keep essential programs strong for the year ahead. If you have not responded yet, it is not too late.
Your support helps keep practical services available close to home, including Helping Hands equipment loans, Find Your Ride transportation guidance, free monthly safety classes, and more. It also helps us provide space and support for community partners such as AARP Tax-Aide and Valley View Community Food Bank.
- Why it matters: Your gift helps sustain services neighbors rely on every day
- One-time or monthly: Give in the way that works best for you
- Honor Roll: An annual gift of $500 or more recognizes you as an Honor Roll member
Thank you for supporting Sun City West Foundation/Helping Hands so we can continue to support you tomorrow.

Find Your Ride | Transportation Support and Planning
Sun City West Foundation Is Working on Transportation Solutions Through Find Your Ride
Sun City West Foundation has supported transit in some form for more than 25 years.
Find Your Ride was started about 2 years ago because of the ongoing need to help our residents get where they want to go. Whether it is for a medical appointment or just a social event with friends, the need is the same. Keeping people active, connected and healthy, largely depends on some sort of transportation.
Kathy Chandler, Find Your Ride manager, has also been working in the transportation field for more than 25 years. From school transport to transit authority management, and then moving to serving our community at Northwest Valley Connect, and finally to our own Find Your Ride program, Kathy truly has a heart for this topic.
Because of that passion, Kathy, in collaboration with other committed individuals and agencies, has formed Northwest Valley Transit Stakeholders. You can be a part of this group as well. You are invited to join them in their mission to find and implement transit solutions that truly meet the unique needs of residents in the northwest valley. Your input and participation are vital to this important work. The Stakeholders meet bi-monthly, and for more information, contact Kathy at Sun City West Foundation's Find Your Ride at findyourride@scwfoundation.org or 602-662-4260.
How Can You Help?
- Participate in the Sun Cities On The Move study: suncitywest.com/sun-cities-on-the-move-mag-needs-your-help/featured-posts/
- Learn how to participate: There is information on the Maricopa Association of Governments website on how to fill out the study and how to participate in the public meetings coming soon to the Sun Cities area.
Volunteer Drivers Needed: Support for our Seniors
Kathy is also a part of the Nonprofits Subcommittee, who are actively working to recruit volunteer drivers to address the pressing needs for reliable transportation, especially for the most vulnerable members of our community. If you are interested in making a difference by being a volunteer driver, please contact Kathy at Sun City West Foundation's Find Your Ride at findyourride@scwfoundation.org or 602-662-4260.
If you need a ride: Find Your Ride call center has resources available as well as individual assistance. The resource call center is open Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM to Noon. Always leave a message if you call outside of hours: 602-662-4260. Ask about free Find Your Ride classes, the volunteer driver programs, or visit our website for more information.

Meeting Rooms | Community Impact
Your Foundation Provides Space That Helps Our Community Thrive
One of the most practical ways Sun City West Foundation supports Sun City West is by donating meeting and workspace to community causes and partners that serve our neighbors. It is not always visible, but it makes a real difference for people who rely on these services.
A great example is AARP Tax-Aide. Each year, we provide space for AARP Tax-Aide to train volunteers and prepare tax returns from February 1 through April 15. This is one of many ways we help bring essential services closer to home.
In fact, Sun City West Foundation provides approximately $92,000 in free space each year to support organizations that benefit our community. And when residents reserve rooms at the Foundation, it helps sustain these community supports for the year ahead.
- Deep resident discounts: SCW residents receive significantly reduced rates on room rentals
- Resident discount proof: Palo Verde Room is $65 for SCW residents (non-resident rate is $120)
- Large events: Webb Room is $320 for SCW residents (non-resident rate is $475)
- Rates include: first 4 hours plus table and chair setup (additional hours available)
Planning a meeting, workshop, celebration, or club gathering? View room options and submit an inquiry online, and our team will follow up to confirm availability.
