The Day for Charity Event, presented by the SCW Pickleball Club, features the Great American Pickleball Drop (sponsored by the SCW Alliance of Business & Community Organization) and the Pickleball Party (sponsored by the Sundome Plaza Merchants Association).  The event raises funds for various Sun City West organizations.  In 2018, it provided more than $28,000 which was shared equally by Sun City West Foundation – Helping Hands Division, and Community Fund of Sun City West, both 501(c)3 non-profit charity organizations.

$4,500 in prizes were awarded to individuals who purchased raffle tickets, paid out according to how close the winning balls were to the target.
