WELCOME to Chapter 1789 of NARFE (the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association). Our Chapter originated in Sun City West nearly 30 years ago, but we welcome all far west Valley of the Sun members and prospects. Roughly 350 NARFE members call our Chapter their home. Please join us! See what we have to offer and how NARFE membership can benefit you.

We meet each month from September through May (no meetings in June, July, and August). We normally meet on the fourth Thursday of each month, except for November and December (third Thursday, due to Thanksgiving and Christmas

holidays). Every other month (usually September, November, January, March, and May), we meet at 1:00 p.m. in the Quail Room of the Sun City West Foundation Building, R. H. Johnson and Stardust Boulevards, Sun City West, AZ. These program

meetings offer an educational and entertaining program pertinent to NARFE members, followed by a Chapter business meeting. During the alternate months (usually October, December, February, and April), we meet at noon at a variety of West Valley

restaurants (call 623-546-2347 or email narfeazvp@cox.net for location). These social meetings feature an inexpensive lunch menu, great conversation and reminiscing, and a short business meeting. All membership meetings include a 50/50 drawing, with the proceeds going towards Alzheimer’s research, the Federal Employees’ Education and Assistance Fund (FEEA), or our Chapter treasury.

Also, all Members are welcome to attend the monthly meeting of the Chapter Executive Committee. The Executive Committee meets at 9:30 a.m. on the first Monday of each month (September - May), at the Edward Jones office, at 14755 West R. H. Johnson Boulevard, Suite 108, in Sun City West.
